I realized, in the typical extremist pattern that my life seems to follow, that I love new beginnings and I love endings.
I love early mornings and New Years resolutions and the first week of every season when the colors of trees change and the sun decides to hide or seek. And I love the satisfaction of checking the final to-do off your list and when you finish a REALLY GOOD book (Harry Potter, cough) and feel so emotionally invested in the characters that you keep thinking about them for several days after the last pages turn.
So today, this very first day of December, is on another beginning: a Monday. And it’s also an end: it’s the ultimate, final countdown of 2014. I’ve been wanting to get serious about blogging for a while, and what better day to do that than on a Monday, on the 1st, on the very last month to hold me accountable for 2014? It’s a brand new beginning. It’s the end. It’s time to challenge myself. Therefore, ladies and gents, I’m celebrating a pre-New Years Resolution month. It’s like January 1st…but for December and with a less crowded gym. I’ve set a few goals for myself, including:
- Blog every day. It’s time to get serious about the Kelsapoodlin’. : )
- Be able to hold a five minute plank. I’m at 2.5 minutes right now…and counting.
- Study Italian every day (because I’m headed there in a month !!!! #whatislife)
Do you have anything you want to accomplish before the holidaze? Anything I’m forgetting? Care to join me in my month of beginning-end resolution?
